    Belmont: The Gari Melchers Estate & Memorial Gallery began as a farmhouse in the late 18th century, and evolved into a 22 room estate in later years. In addition to numerous pieces of period furniture, many of the works of famed American artist Gary Melcher are kept here. The work of other artists, such as Rodin and Morisot, is also displayed here.

    James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library

    James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library offers visitors a glimpse of the life of this fifth president of the United States. The museum contains correspondance from Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison, as well as some of his own personal items, such as his dueling pistols. The library contains over 10, 000 books, a recreation of his personal collection. Thirty minute guided tours are offered.
