St. George's Episcopal Church
St. George's Episcopal Church was the parish of Mary Washington and Revolutionary War general Dr. Hugh Mercer. The original church - built in 1732 - no longer stands, but the structure now standing was constructed in 1849. Like so many buildings in the area, it served as a Union hospital during the Civil War. Services are still held here.

The Presbyterian Church's Greek Revival building was completed in 1855. Numerous battle scars from the Civil War, such as visible cannonball damage, remains to this day.
